Public Education Forums/Parents the Power Support Group:

Education Forums will now be apart of the Parents, The Power Support Group.  Thus, allowing parents to ask educational questions and receive answers.

Parents the Power, LLC provides educational development plan for children
overall objective - to increase academic performance of students and enable them to operate at or above academic skill level based on national standards in order to compete and achieve success in a global society.
 

Wrightslaw Parents, educators advocates, and attorneys come to Wrightslaw for accurate, reliable information about education law and advocacy for children with disabilities. Includes thousands of articles, cases, and free resources.

Student Advocacy Center The Student Advocacy Center of Michigan has great information, including sample letters for school related issues.  Information on their website can be used as a guide for parents and students.

Education Law Center (ELC) advocates on behalf of public school children for access to an equal and adequate education under state and federal laws. Because of its expertise in school finance, preschool, and other areas of education law and policy, ELC provides information, technical assistance and support to attorneys and advocates in other states seeking to improve public education.

Voices for Georgia's Children  Georgia Children's Network is involved in policy change and has  a legislative agenda in Georgia.

Georgia Advocacy Office, Inc.  A private non-profit corporation.  Its mission is to work with and for oppressed and vulnerable individuals in Georgia who are labeled as disabled or mentally ill to secure their protection and advocacy.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act - FERPA

Georgia Professional Standards Commission/Code of Ethics for Educators
The educators ethics division is responsible for adopting and advancing a Code of Ethics and standards of conduct for Georgia educators, receiving complaints and investigating reports of a breach in the Code of Ethics, and reporting the facts of an investigation to the Professional Standards Commission.  Parents can download a copy of the Code of Ethics for all Georgia Educators (incl. Administrators) and file complaints.
