ALERT ~ ALERT!
Georgia Kids Need Your Help!
Greetings Everyone,
My name is George Crawford and I represent the
Coalition Against Chronic Candy. As you may know,
two bills will be introduced in the state
legislature that will ban the sale of marijuana
flavored candy in Georgia.
Senator Fort has requested the names of stores that
sell the candy.
Please visit stores in your community and shopping
malls.
If you find stores that sell the candy, please write
down the store’s name and street address. Please
include the city and county if possible . You can
down load an information gathering form at:
http://www.stopchroniccandy.org/community.htm .
It will help you track stores.
The search for this information is not limited to
Metro Atlanta rather the search is statewide. Please
ask your friends, co-workers and relatives to look
for the candy in their communities.
You will find in the presenter's kit recommendations
on how to identify stores selling the candy.
Please send the names of the stores, etc. to me by
sending an email to
metroadvocacy@yahoo.com or
info@stopchroniccandy.org
In addition, please feel free to call me at
678-755-4611 if you have questions or need
information.
Here some names of marijuana-flavored candy to look
out for:
· Chronic Candy
· Kronic Kandy
· Stoner Pops
· Pot Suckers
· Hydropops
Finally please visit:
www.stopchroniccandy.org
to learn more about chronic candy and to download
valuable educational information.
Note: I want to thank the Osborne Prevention Task
Force, the HEART Coalition, Genesis Prevention
Coalition and a number of businesses and volunteers
who have engage this issue.
Note: Senator Fort introduced Senate Bill 511 last
year. It passed the Senate's Agricultural and
Consumer Affiars Committee but it did not pass the
Senate's Rules Committee. Senate Fort will introduce
legislation again this year. A House Bill will also
be introduced.
The video was available via a Chronic Candy Van that
frequent the Underground Mall in Atlanta.
We have been blessed with great success in
stopping over 150 stores from selling the candy in
Georgia since 2005. We have an opportunity to stop
the sale of the candy 100% and prevent millions of
children from ever seeing marijuana-flavored candy.
